Welcome to Idaho NARI 2024 Awards Contest

This web-based application is used again for this year's competition. Here you can apply for your awards, upload info and pictures, pay application fees, etc. It will make your application process easier, and ensure an anonymous, objective, and secure judging process.

Categories remain largely unchanged from previous years. Please apply for all the awards you wish.

Applications are, due 5:00 PM on November 15th.  The December Awards Ceremony will be held Dec 10th 2024, during our membership meeting and Holiday Party, at a location to be confirmed soon.

*A friendly note from the Board of Directors: In previous years, applications have trickled in late, and NARI would chase (us) down asking for missing details, pictures, payments, etc.  The app is not as accommodating, and will lock you out at the deadline.  :)

Who will be this year's SUPPLIERS'/VENDORS OF THE YEAR? Showcase the quality and value of your work by entering this competition. Recognition will take place as part of the NARI of Idaho   

Recognition in the marketplace is the name of the game, is it not? Recognition leads to WORK! And work is what we want!

 

Why You Should Enter:

Any NARI member who does any marketing for their firms from a one-person shop to the largest remodeling firms can enhance their image within the industry and with their customers in winning an award for their excellence in marketing. This sets your business apart from other remodeling companies and NARI will help to make the most of this distinguished recognition.

Preparing the Winning Entry:

Your ability to present your project in a manner that helps judges distinguish your project will go a long way to set you apart from the competition. The following tips are provided as guidelines:

• Plan your entry and arrange your photos, proofs and marketing statements for maximum exposure
• Describe the objectives of the advertising and any obstacles you ran into
• Avoid filling your entry with too many words - just provide the details that will help the judges determine why your marketing piece deserves high marks.

The Judging Process:

Winners are selected from an impartial panel of judges who are experts in the industry. Entries are judged on concept, copy, layout, overall design execution and communication of the marketing piece's overall objectives.

Points from 1 to 10 will be given for:

1. To what degree was the overall objective of the marketing effort met?
2. To what degree was the marketing effort effective for driving sales and traffic?
3. Is their evidence of superior creativity?
4. To what degree is the copy, layout and design of the marketing effective?

With so many categories there is room for all to enter. Look over your projects completed during the past year and ENTER!

While receiving an award is very gratifying, the primary purpose of contests is MARKETING your work, NARI of Idaho, and remodeling in general.

The top three submittals in each category are displayed throughout the year in various public places. It is extremely important that our presentations reflect the quality of our work. Remember, we have gone digital! In addition to the standard photo boards we will be preparing a digital poster that will be displayed at the home show booth and in other locations we want to display our awards. You will be asked to submit at least four photos of your project that should include before photos and great after photos. We will have a form to designate category and credits, which we will use to introduce your project on the slide show. We strongly suggest using a professional photographer. Quality photos can make all the difference between winning and losing.

One more point: this is a competition for NARI of Idaho members. All submitted projects must be built or designed by a NARI of Idaho member.

*Cost is defined as contract price, all extras, change orders and the fair market value of materials and products that were purchased, sweat-equity and in-kind services provided, and/or any subcontract work. The cost of all homeowner provided products, services, or labor should be included in this cost. All markups and profit should be included in the cost provided. For member-owned projects, costs should include normal markups as if the project as contracted to an outside client.
